The Portuguese Society of Materials (SPM) attributed on 13 April 2022, the Prémio SPM Carreira e Reconhecimento (Career and Recognition Award) to Professor Rodrigo Martins

Established in 2015, this distinction aims to recognise, encourage and promote excellence in teaching, development and research, innovation and industrial production in the field of Materials in Portugal.

“Rodrigo Martins is an exceptional and brilliant scientist whose reputation goes beyond Portuguese borders, being able to combine wisdom and experience with vision and imagination”, can be read on the SPM website.

The award, in addition to recognizing the impact that the professor and researcher had in his area, also distinguishes his influence in transforming the DCM into a center of excellence in teaching and research.
